Job Description:

Sort Leads are responsible for coordinating warehouse sorting operations to ensure packages are accurately organized and prepared for delivery. This position requires strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment. Sort Leads will assist with operating forklifts, moving pallets, and maintaining safe and organized warehouse spaces while leading by example.

This is a hands-on leadership position—Sort Leads are expected to work alongside warehouse staff while enforcing safety procedures, managing efficiency, and maintaining quality control standards throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee package sorting in assigned warehouse areas (“pods”) to ensure accuracy, organization, and timeliness.

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move pallets containing 60+ packages.

• Support and guide warehouse staff to maintain workflow and safety compliance.

• Monitor attendance, enforce warehouse policies, and communicate effectively with the WorkWhile and Jitsu teams.

• Maintain cleanliness of the workspace (stack pallets, sweep, remove trash).

• Stand, bend, and lift consistently throughout the shift (up to 45–50 lbs).

• Follow all warehouse safety protocols and ensure team adherence.

  • Fast-paced warehouse environment requiring constant movement.

  • Shifts commonly fall on Sunday–Tuesday or Friday–Tuesday schedules.

  • Work involves physical labor, teamwork, and attention to detail under time pressure.
