This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and appearance of our harvested cannabis plants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing freshly harvested cannabis plants, trimming excess leaves, and preparing the product for the next stages of processing. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently, and a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** **Bucking** ○ Carefully remove cannabis buds from harvested plants by cutting away branches while maintaining the integrity of the buds. **Trimming** ○ Trim excess leaves from cannabis buds to ensure a clean, high-quality product with minimal damage to the buds. **Quality Control** ○ Inspect buds for defects, mold, or other quality issues and report any findings to the Team Lead and/or Cultivation Manager. **Work Efficiency** ○ Meet daily production goals while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail. **Cleanliness** ○ Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. **Team Collaboration** ○ Work closely with other cultivation team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks. **Safety Compliance** ○ Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper handling of tools and materials to avoid accidents and injuries. **Qualifications:** * Previous experience in cannabis cultivation, trimming, or a similar role is preferred but not required. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to handle repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy and consistency. * Knowledge of cannabis plant anatomy and quality standards is a plus. * Ability to sit or stand for long periods and perform manual labor. * Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment. * Must be able to follow directions and work with minimal supervision. * Familiarity with safety protocols in an agricultural or production environment is preferred. **Physical Requirements:** * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. * Ability to stand for long periods. * Manual dexterity required for trimming and bucking tasks. * Must be able to bend, kneel, or crouch as needed for trimming and bucking. **Benefits:** * Dental Insurance * Health Insurance * Paid Time Off * Vision Insurance **Schedule:** Monday to Friday 7am –3:30pm **_About Vangst:_** _Vangst is the cannabis industry’s hiring platform.
