Overview:
SOVAH Health Danville is seeking experienced Emergency Room RNs for travel contract positions. We are a 250-bed Academic Community Hospital and the region’s only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. The facility offers comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour Emergency Department services, home health & hospice care, an advanced wound healing center, cardiac rehabilitation, two cath labs, one-day surgery center, and both medical and radiation oncology services.

Our Emergency Department is currently operating out of a temporary inpatient unit while undergoing a full renovation.

Job Details:

• Department: Emergency Department

• Position Type: Travel RN Contract

• Shift: Days and Nights Available

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

• Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends

• Call Requirement: None

• Orientation: Bi-weekly on Tuesdays

• Unit Supervisor: Ashlee Compton, BSN, RN

Unit Information:

• Total Beds:

  • 20 Acute Beds

  • 8 Behavioral Health Beds

  • 4 Urgent Care Beds

  • 2 Medical Screening Exam (MSE) Beds

  • Results Waiting Area

• Patient Ratios: 5:1 (Acute)

• EHR Systems:

  • ED: MedHost (Note: MedHost does not support medication scanning. Staff must use 5 Rights of Medication Administration protocol)

  • Admissions & EMAR: Meditech

• Patient Population: All ages (geriatric, adult, pediatric)

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in an Emergency Department

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

• Other:

  • Must be located 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate

  • Must be comfortable administering medications without scanning (per 5 Rights protocol)

  • No float required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior travel or contract experience in Emergency Room settings

Pay Rate:
