Description

As a Traveling Occupational Therapist at Classet, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of patients across various settings. Your primary responsibilities will include evaluating patients' needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and assisting individuals in regaining independence through tailored therapeutic techniques. A typical day may involve visiting multiple locations, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document progress effectively. You'll travel locally within Illinois, offering your expertise in diverse environments such as homes, clinics, schools, and rehabilitation centers.

Requirements

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) in the state of Illinois (required)
• 1+ year of OT experience preferred (new graduates with strong clinical experience are welcome to apply)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel
• Excellent time management and adaptability in dynamic work environments
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
• Experience with EMR platforms and proficient treatment documentation abilities

Nice to Have

• Experience with pediatric, geriatric, or neurological populations
• Background in home health or travel/itinerant therapy settings
• Fluency in a second language (e.g., Spanish) is a plus
• Familiarity with adaptive equipment or assistive technology
• Comfort working across diverse environments, including homes, clinics, schools, and rehabilitation centers
• Strong interest in continuing education and commitment to evidence-based practice
