Schedule: Continental Afternoons (1500–0300)
Pay Rate: $20.41/hour
Employment Type: Full Time (Temporary)
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Overview

Paladin Security is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Scooper Enforcement Officer (Scooper Mobile) to support airport operations at Toronto Pearson International Airport. This role plays a key part in maintaining safety and order in the Groundside area through patrolling, monitoring vehicle activity, enforcing regulations, and directing both pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

Responsibilities

• Patrol terminals and tag unauthorized scooper vehicles.
• Monitor the Uber lot and passenger pick-up areas for scooper activity.
• Patrol the parking garage as required.
• Assist with CVO enforcement, including illegal commercial vehicle activity (e.g., unapproved shuttle services).
• Provide traffic control for both vehicles and pedestrians.
• Direct commercial and public vehicles along assigned lanes.
• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas and proactively address congestion concerns.
• Assist the public with parking rules, loading/unloading guidelines, and general wayfinding.
• Gather and report vehicle counts.
• Support curbside staff as needed.
• Assist with training new staff members.
• Prepare required written reports (e.g., Scooper Mobile Report).
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
• Valid G Ontario Driver’s License
• Must provide a valid 3-year clean Driver’s Abstract
• English fluency (oral and written)
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred
• Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Applicants without UOF/MOAB may opt into Paladin’s certification program prior to onboarding
• Note: UOF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a prerequisite; however, Paladin covers the cost with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
