- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 6+ months of recent forklift experience
- 3+ months of loader experience preferred
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to work a 12-hour, non-rotating, 2/2/3 schedule, including overtime and weekends as required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to stoop, bend, crouch, and twist
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments with a large amount of standing and walking
- Ensure the trailer has been swept clean of trash and debris
- Move thousands of car tires by hand
- Inspect trailer for foreign material, i.e., nails, screws, etc.
- Check for damage to the trailer or holes in the roof or sides
- Notify the Load Controller when trailers that are not suitable for loading are rejected, non-conforming tires are identified, or if labels are incorrect
- Reference the specification sheet for loading patterns
- Prep loads, load, tread code tires, and kick out bad tires/no reads for the duration of the shift
- Control loads for loading (contractor requirement)
- Move pallets from staging to the loading point
- Complete off-loads and the off-loading/loading of poles
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other tasks as assigned
