Upkid is a childcare substitute network — we connect qualified childcare teachers with preschools and daycare centers in their area through our easy-to-use app. Our teachers choose the shifts that work for them, creating a flexible and rewarding work experience. We do not operate our own centers but partner with existing licensed childcare facilities that need short-term staff.

🛠 What You'll Do

• Step into preschools and early childhood education centers as a substitute teacher.

• Provide safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care for children aged 0–5.

• Follow the classroom's existing lesson plans or routines.

• Manage transitions, bottle feeding, diapering, potty training, and more (depending on age group).

• Report and communicate effectively with the center’s staff.

✅ Requirements

• Previous experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting.

• Comfortable being left alone in a classroom, including infant/toddler rooms.

• Ability to handle multiple children (including managing crying, feeding, diapering, etc.).

• Must dress professionally and act responsibly in any childcare setting.

• Able to commute 30–45 minutes to partnered centers.

• Reliable, on-time, and responsive to communication.

• Must be open to using the Upkid app to pick and manage shifts.

🕘 Schedule Options

• Full-Day Shifts: Typically 8 AM – 5 PM or 9 AM – 6 PM.

• Half-Day Shifts: Mornings or afternoons (e.g., 8 AM – 12 PM or 1 PM – 5 PM).

• No evenings or weekends.

• Flexibility to pick up last-minute shifts (within 24 hours) is a plus.
