As a Student Success Coach at Adtalem Global Education, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting students on their academic journey. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing personalized coaching, mentoring, and advising to diverse student populations to help them achieve their academic and career goals. You will engage with students through various databases and platforms, addressing their needs and challenges, and facilitating academic planning. Your strong communication skills will be essential in building rapport and fostering a supportive learning environment. Expect to work in a hybrid setting, providing both in-office support and remote assistance, with flexibility to adapt to peak academic periods.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in any discipline
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a service-oriented environment or academic support setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Ability to navigate and work with multiple databases and student platforms
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to build rapport with a diverse range of student populations
• Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, or advising students
• Adept at problem-solving, time management, and academic planning
• Willingness to maintain a hybrid work schedule (3 in-office days per week in Phoenix, AZ)
• Flexibility to work outside of normal hours during peak academic periods
• Self-starter with the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with student support programs or counseling in an educational setting
• Familiarity with academic advising tools and mentoring programs
• Knowledge of best practices in student retention and success strategies
• Background in healthcare, technology, business, or legal fields
