Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Start your new career as a Shipping & Receiving Specialist with MAU at The Bernard Group in Duncan, SC. As a Shipping & Receiving Specialist, you will manage incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely, damage-free deliveries. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

What We’re Looking For: 

  • High school diploma, GED, OR equivalent work experience 

  • 2+ years of shipping/receiving experience - preferred 

  • Familiarity with FedEx, UPS, and transportation management systems 

  • Basic computer skills (Google Suite, Pace) 

  • Strong communication and organizational skills 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods 

  • Experience in a production or manufacturing setting - preferred 

  • Printing industry experience is a plus 

What You’ll Do as a Shipping & Receiving Specialist: 

  • Unload, inspect, and organize incoming materials 

  • Verify shipments against packing lists and purchase orders 

  • Document and label inventory accurately 

  • Store and move materials safely using forklifts or pallet jacks 

  • Maintain a clean and safe shipping/receiving area 

  • Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams 

  • Package outbound items to prevent damage 

  • Record accurate weights and dimensions for shipping 

  • Process shipments using FedEx, UPS, and internal systems 

  • Monitor packaging inventory and notify when restocking is needed 

  • Support continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts 

  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management
