Senior Grocery Manager, Buyer Apprentice:

The Senior Grocery Manager, Buyer Apprentice role is a dynamic opportunity tailored for aspiring professionals looking to gain comprehensive experience in grocery management and procurement. You will have the chance to cultivate essential skills in retail operations, inventory management, and strategic purchasing.

Grocery Management Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily store operations to ensure smooth product flow and enhance customer experience
• Conduct thorough visual inspections and manage inventory levels effectively
• Create and execute strategic merchandising plans, including attractive product displays
• Engage with customers and team members on the sales floor
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally
• Assist Store Manager in implementing product placement strategies

Buyer Apprentice Duties:

• Support senior buyers in various procurement activities
• Assist in onboarding suppliers and ensuring compliance
• Participate in the procurement lifecycle and inventory management
• Negotiate pricing and resolve issues with suppliers
• Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities

Senior Grocery Manager, Buyer Apprentice Background Profile:

• High school Diploma or GED with at least five years of related experience, or equivalent
• Prior experience in order writing, procurement, or supply chain management
• Demonstrated leadership in retail, preferably in specialty foods
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Power BI preferred
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Effective mathematical skills and vendor management experience
• Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends and evenings
