Senior Accountant

Our client based in The Woodlands, Texas, seeks a dynamic Senior Accountant to join their team on a direct hire basis.

Senior Accountant Role:

  • Lead complex accounting functions and oversee intercompany transactions
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting across multiple entities
  • Develop a deep understanding of business operations, financial systems, and general ledger structure
  • Accurately record intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Collaborate with internal teams to investigate intercompany issues and ensure accurate financial statements
  • Manage fixed assets and maintain accuracy within the fixed asset module
  • Prepare and analyze intercompany reconciliation reports for management review
  • Perform month-end close responsibilities, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Identify process improvement areas and implement best practices for intercompany reconciliation workflows
  • Support ad hoc financial and accounting projects when required
  • Assist with and provide backup for bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and continuity

Senior Accountant Background Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institution
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in general ledger-focused accounting roles
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective time management skills with a proven track record of meeting tight deadlines
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Experience with ERP systems, especially NetSuite, is preferred
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Familiarity with intercompany transactions, reconciliations, captive insurance programs, self-funded medical plans, and multi-state sales tax filings is advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
