Paladin Security is Hiring a Security Team Lead!
Location: Toronto, ON
Schedule: Continental Nights (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Status: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $21.59/hour
Overtime: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Overview
Paladin Security is currently seeking a Security Team Lead to join our healthcare security team at University Health Network – West Park. This is a leadership-focused role suited for experienced security professionals who thrive in fast-paced healthcare environments and are confident leading, training, and motivating teams while ensuring compliance with all site and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and ongoing training to site security staff
- Ensure all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are completed each shift
- Enforce adherence to Paladin Security and site-specific policies and procedures
- Plan and implement effective shift schedules
- Confirm all Security Guards have completed mandatory training requirements
- Motivate staff and issue commendations where appropriate
- Discipline staff when required and ensure proper documentation is submitted to Head Office
- Conduct security audits
- Document, investigate, and follow up on security incidents and complaints
- Perform proactive and reactive security patrols
- Communicate concerns and operational issues to the Client Service Manager
Requirements
- Valid Security License for the Province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB-approved provider
- Two doses of COVID-19 vaccination
- Proof of up-to-date immunization records for:
- Mumps
- Measles
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Two-step Tuberculosis skin test
- Willingness to complete N95 mask fit testing during training
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare supervisory experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure
- Proven ability to train, direct, and motivate staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Ability to provide certifications in:
- Use of Force (UOF)
- Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
Note:
Applicants who do not currently possess UOF/MOAB certifications may enroll in Paladin’s certification program prior to onboarding.
- Training costs are fully covered by Paladin
- Certification is unpaid as it is a pre-employment requirement
- A 6-month commitment to the role/availability is required
