Your Role:
Strategic Partnership Development:
Research and develop prospective strategic technology alliances within the school transportation ecosystem and related mobility markets
Create detailed market analysis and strategic planning specifically focused on the school bus electrification sector
Act as the primary liaison for existing relationships with industry leaders including school bus manufacturers, distributors, fleet managers, advisors, and transportation supervisors
Industry Expertise & Advisory Services:
Build, obtain, and sustain comprehensive technical and commercial understanding of the school transportation industry to operate as a subject matter expert within client operational frameworks
Leverage direct experience in school transportation operations, fleet oversight, and digital/IoT market dynamics to recognize large-scale opportunities suitable for battery technologies
Partner with school systems, transportation providers, and internal teams to create electrification strategies and develop corresponding business justifications
Solution Development & Execution:
Collaborate with clients to confirm specifications, ensuring battery technologies can be integrated and maintained within current school bus operations
Oversee solution deployment processes from initial assessment through final implementation
Support product development initiatives by collecting client feedback and project requirements to guide engineering teams on school bus-specific needs
Relationship Management & Channel Growth:
Establish and maintain enduring collaborative channel alliances with school bus manufacturers, dealerships, and fleet operators
Create targeted channel programs designed for the specific requirements of school transportation markets
Implement quarterly business assessments and sustain ongoing partnerships with critical stakeholders
Technical Presentations & Industry Leadership:
Develop and deliver technical battery presentations to school district stakeholders, transportation conferences, and professional associations
Guide development teams to adopt new technologies, methodologies, and enhancements required to satisfy school bus electrification demands
Serve as company representative at school transportation exhibitions, conferences, and industry events
Sales Operations & Achievement:
Document all activities within Salesforce, working closely with Sales and Sales Operations departments
Achieve and surpass individual objectives for partnership cultivation and revenue generation within the school bus market
Deliver market insights and competitive intelligence focused on school bus electrification developments
Background Profile:
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 5+ years in automotive technologies with focus on corporate development, business development, sales, or partnership frameworks
Willingness to travel up to 50% nationally to engage with school districts, participate in conferences, and facilitate implementation initiatives
Demonstrated knowledge, expertise, and enthusiasm for business development, innovation, technology, and electric vehicles
Must possess comprehensive understanding of electric vehicles and school transportation operations
Extensive familiarity with school transportation infrastructure including fleet oversight, route planning, and maintenance protocols
Knowledge of school district purchasing procedures, financing options, and decision-making hierarchies
Established history of building strategic and channel partnerships in B2B settings
Proven capability to sell, negotiate, and successfully close sophisticated agreements
Experience collaborating with government organizations, school districts, or public transit agencies preferred
Verified success in consultative sales and solution-focused methodologies
Concentrates on achieving objectives and meeting performance standards while continuously pursuing improvement and exceptional outcomes
