**Our Client** is the most trusted and experienced provider of cannabis regulatory systems in the United States. Their solution combines advanced software, radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology, a dedicated customer-support team, and a secure database to track and trace cannabis from growth, harvest, and processing to testing, transport, and sale. They work closely with state agencies and regulators to secure the cannabis supply chain, ensuring every plant and product is accounted for and compliant with regulations.
**Role Overview:** As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a critical role in the growth and business development efforts. This position focuses heavily on outbound phone sales, requiring a high volume of proactive dials (approximately 100 per day) to connect with mid-level cannabis licensees. You will be responsible for qualifying leads, handling objections, and conducting high-level product demos. Your goal is to guide potential clients toward webinars and hand them off to a specialist for further development.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Make a high volume of outbound calls (up to 100 per day) to mid-tier cannabis licensees, focusing on warm leads.
- Use Salesforce to track, document, and follow up on leads.
- Qualify leads and assess their potential for conversion.
- Conduct high-level demos and deliver positioning statements using a predefined talk track.
- Handle objections effectively and push clients toward further engagement, such as webinars or meetings with specialists.
- Collaborate closely with the Growth and Customer Success teams, ensuring seamless handoffs and consistent follow-up.
- Participate in role-playing and objection-handling training sessions to refine sales techniques.
- Use the templated emails and scripts provided, ensuring consistent communication across all channels.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a sales development role, preferably in a software or SaaS
- environment.
- Familiarity with the cannabis industry is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to articulate and follow up effectively with clients.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software.
- Coachable and open to feedback with a strong willingness to learn
**Who You’ll Work With:**
Reporting to the SVP of Growth, you will work closely with regional Customer Success teams, Regional Directors, and Implementation Consultants.
Collaboration with the Marketing and Compliance teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in messaging and materials.
