Assist Input ML Sys team member to improve product (and hand pose and gesture) quality. Works include but are not limited to data collection, manual data annotation, machine learning training and evaluation, experimentation and analysis

Summary
Contributing to ML hand pose and gesture quality improvements; Data collection and manual annotation; Defining data collection requirements and producing moderator / participants instructions; Data quality review, quality assurance, manual annotations, feedback to participants and moderators; Run machine learning training and evaluation jobs; Experimenting model improvements and failure analysis, visualization; Hands on experiential testing model (gesture) quality and providing feedback/assessment/reports; At-home or in-office data collection and annotation.

Qualifications
5 years experience in machine learning operations, data analysis and visualization in python, data processing libraries in python (e.g., pandas), python programming skill and comfortable working with complex systems.

Top 3 must-have HARD skills:
Ability to fix data quality issues, manually or semi-automatically.
Statistics / Data Analysis, aggregate, summarize the result and highlight the gaps
Python coding: pandas, visualization libraries

Good to have skills:
Machine Learning / Deep Learning knowledge.
Ability to translate data requirements into descriptions that others can follow. Word, Picture, Videos
Ability to operate existing machine learning flows (data preparation, training, evaluation, failure analyses).
Strong technical written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with Linux operating systems and commands.
Self-learning capabilities

Team of Computer Vision Engineers working to improve the quality of hand tracking and hand gesture recognition in Mixed Reality devices. We strongly believe that data quality plays a critical role in our ability to train and evaluate machine learning systems, enabling us to delight our users. We are looking for people with great attention to detail, who share our passion for data quality, willing to help us collect data, manually annotate gestures or fix incorrect annotations. In addition, we are looking for people who have the ability to run rigorous analyses on data quality and model failures, distilling actionable insights that the team can leverage to continue improving the quality of our models.

Typical Day in the Role:
Working independently, in close collaboration with other team members
Conducting data acquisition and data quality inspections, annotating data manually or semi-automatically.
Evaluating the performance of our machine learning models and producing comprehensive and rigorous failure analyses.
Running existing machine learning and evaluation pipelines.
Coding new functionality to enable machine learning experimentation, data and result analyses.
