Real Estate Corporate Risk Manager

Our client, a leading company in the Commercial Real Estate industry located in Dallas, TX, is currently seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Corporate Risk Manager for a direct hire position at their corporate office. Ideal candidates should have a strong background in the Real Estate sector and be based in the DFW area.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the corporate insurance program with a focus on real estate industry risks.
  • Manage the full insurance lifecycle, including renewals, claims processing, and policy oversight.
  • Cultivate relationships with brokers and carriers, leading negotiations and strategic discussions.
  • Review contracts to ensure insurance provisions meet requirements and support risk transfer strategies.
  • Provide guidance to business units on policies, exposures, and risk mitigation best practices.
  • Stay informed on industry and economic trends to adjust insurance structures and minimize risks proactively.
  • Prepare and present reports on claims, coverage, and risk trends to senior management and boards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the risk management operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in risk management, insurance brokerage, underwriting, or consulting within the Real Estate industry.
  • Expertise in managing corporate insurance programs, including executive risk, property/casualty, and crime coverage.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate risks, track trends, and recommend enhancements.
  • Experience collaborating with brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders on complex insurance matters.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Preferred certifications: Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Management Liability Insurance Specialist (MLIS).
