Paladin Security is Hiring a Rapid Response Security Guard!

Join one of Canada’s most respected security companies! Paladin Security is hiring a Full-Time Rapid Response Guard for the City of Brampton. This is a high-visibility, fast-paced role where you’ll safeguard key city facilities including City Hall, Rose Theatre, Civic Centre, and more.

You’ll patrol properties, respond to emergencies, and provide a professional security presence — making Brampton a safer and friendlier place to live and work.

Pay: $18.50/hour
Shift: Continental Night (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Job Type: Full-Time (Night Shift, Including Weekends)

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly and professionally to alarms, emergencies, and incidents
• Patrol interior and exterior areas of City of Brampton buildings
• Enforce policies (e.g., no loitering, smoking, skateboarding, etc.)
• Provide access control, secure facilities after hours, and unlock/lock offices
• Operate electronic guard tour systems and maintain detailed incident logs
• Offer excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and event attendees
• Handle Lost & Found, perform key/radio audits, and communicate via two-way radio
• Liaise with police, fire, and EMS when needed
• Provide First Aid when required and support crisis response efforts

Requirements

• 2+ years of security experience (municipal or corporate setting preferred)
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid G Class Driver’s License with 3-year clean abstract
• Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (multilingual preferred)
• Physically capable of extended standing, walking, and outdoor patrols in all weather
• Strong customer service, de-escalation, and problem-solving skills
• Must complete all required site training within 30 days of hire
• Willing to obtain CPO certification within first 6 months (Paladin covers cost)

Nice to Have:

• Post-secondary education in a related field
• Dispatch or mobile security experience
• Previous loss prevention or municipal security background
