As the QA Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will lead a dedicated team of quality assurance professionals, overseeing the implementation of quality control processes and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Your expertise will help us maintain our pledge to deliver exceptional products on time, every time, while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within our manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring the QA team to uphold quality standards and best practices.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols and procedures.
- Conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Collaborating with production and operations teams to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Analyzing quality data and trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Preparing and presenting quality reports to management and stakeholders.
Required skills: - Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Assurance, Food Science, Chemistry, or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the cannabis or food industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GMP, ISO).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
Desired skills: - Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Experience with cannabis product testing and compliance regulations.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics related to cannabis distribution.
