Upkid teachers work at childcare centers near them as substitute teachers. Meaning you have the ability to work Part-time or Full-time if you choose. It’s a win-win for everyone!

Job Summary:

Upkid teachers are responsible for filling in for multiple child care/daycare/preschool programs throughout the area. When a child care provider is sick or needs a day off, Upkid will give you the opportunity to step in. You will be responsible for creating an environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth for the children in your care. You should work in cooperation with the program director and other team members to ensure a safe, caring environment for our littlest learners.To get started, you’ll create a profile on our super easy-to-use App(made simple so you can secure your dream jobs, quicker!). Fill out your profile, select your location, and start working as soon as you want.

Schedule:

FLEXIBLE - work as much or as little as you would like. But you can easily fill up your schedule because there is a big need for substitutes in all of our locations. .

Compensation:

All Upkid teachers make a minimum of $15.00 per hour depending on experience and location (pay depends on the individual child care center you choose to work with). Many shifts offer a higher hourly wage.

Characteristics of a successful candidate are:

1. Love Children - previous experience is preferred but not necessary.
2. Patient, kind, trustworthy, dependable
3. Ability to address physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of each child
4. Ability to collaborate and cooperate as a team member with other employees

Requirements for Employment:

1. Be able to get along with and respect all Children, Clients, and Co-workers
2. Ability to pass a background and fingerprint screen
3. Ability to acquire a CPR/ First Aid certification and a food handlers permit
