PIPELINE - Production Technician - Strip Pack - 1st Shift

Job Role: Production Technician – Strip Pack (2nd Shift)
Work Set-up: On-Site
Location: 9115 Hague Road, Indianapolis, IN 46256
Schedule: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday–Friday (occasional weekends required)
Pay Rate: $21.45/hr
Initial Assignment Length: 12-months with possibility for extension/conversion to FTE

Job Summary:

This position has a key responsibility in supporting the packaging of diabetic testing strips. The technician will set up and operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the packaging of testing strips, and is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the packaging of diabetic testing strips
  • Assist with packaging and labeling vials and finished products
  • Operate and monitor machinery; perform cleaning of machines as needed
  • Load boxes, vials, and pamphlets into machines to be packaged and distributed with products
  • Lift and carry products and materials to QC area, recycling, trash, or other designated areas
  • Use pallet jack to move material and product on pallets and place in a staging area
  • Audit the packaged material
  • Perform quality control measures on incoming components; inspect all parts, orders, and equipment for quality and safety
  • Maintain individual responsibility for personal and area safety
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
  • Be comfortable with using technology-driven software and systems

Skill Requirements:

  • Must have a strong work ethic

  • Machine experience a plus
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be computer savvy (Preferred)

  • Team player
  • Quick learner

Experience Preferred (But Not Required):

  • Machine operator skills
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Experience in GMP environment
  • Experience in ISO environment

Education Requirements:

  • GED or High School Diploma (HSDP)
