Payroll and HR Assistant

Our client, located in Buford, Georgia, is seeking a dedicated Payroll and HR Assistant for an hourly direct hire position.

Company Overview:

• Family-owned business specializing in residential services

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee manual payroll processing for 160+ employees and in-house subcontractors, comprising 60-70% of workload
• Manage employee relations, claims, onboarding, and offboarding tasks, accounting for 30-40% of workload
• Conduct monthly employee orientation sessions to ensure a positive and engaging experience
• Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and files
• Serve as a welcoming and responsive point of contact for employee inquiries and issues
• Aid in occasional document translation using Google Translate
• Provide administrative support to the HR department
• Perform other HR-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in payroll processing, with a preference for manual processing
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with employees
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Capacity to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; quick to adapt to HR/payroll systems
• Previous HR support experience (onboarding, employee relations, claims) is advantageous
• Adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment
• Note: HR certifications are not required or preferred for this position
