Packaging and Pre-roll Technician

**Job Summary:**
We’re ramping up production and packaging, and we’re looking for dedicated team members with experience in cannabis packaging and pre-roll production. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of gram-weighting flower, rolling and packing joints, and familiarity with equipment such as the Thompson Duke cart filling machine. This role also involves supporting cultivation practices and maintaining plant health under established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Prepare and package cannabis flower and pre-rolls accurately, ensuring consistent gram weights and quality standards.
* Operate packaging equipment, including the Thompson Duke cart filling machine, with care and efficiency.
* Implement cultivation practices as directed by supervisors and managers.
* Maintain the health of immature, vegetative, and flowering plants by following SOPs and scheduled feedings, irrigation, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
* Ensure plant inventory accuracy, including strain identification, plant tag numbers, and counts.
* Observe and address issues related to plants, equipment, or environmental conditions promptly.
* Perform plant maintenance and post-harvest duties, including cleaning and sanitizing production areas.
* Record accurate daily data related to pesticide applications, plant health, and production activities as required by management.
* Maintain high personal hygiene and strict adherence to regulatory standards.
* Work efficiently to support productivity goals and maintain organization and cleanliness throughout the facility.
* Assist with other duties as assigned to support the production team.
**Physical Requirements:**
* Ability to stand or sit for long periods.
* Manual dexterity for operating packaging machinery and computers.
* Ability to use step-stools up to 4 feet to reach higher plants or equipment.
* Ability to crouch, bend, and hold positions for extended periods, with repetitive motion.
* Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds safely.
* Comfortable working around loud machinery and bright lights (ear protection provided).
* Strong teamwork and communication skills with constant interaction with colleagues.
**Experience & Qualifications:**
* Must be 21 years of age or older.
* Minimum of 1 year experience in cannabis cultivation, harvesting, or trimming.
* 1-3 years experience in horticulture, agriculture, or cannabis cultivation preferred.
* Knowledge of cannabis strains, plant structures, and cannabinoids is a plus.
* Ability to communicate clearly and follow detailed instructions.
* Must comply with all state regulations and company policies.
* Energetic, team-oriented, and eager to learn new skills.
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
