Schedule: Part-Time (Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Employment Type: Contract / Temporary to Hire
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team in Houston, TX. This part-time, contract-to-hire position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations while providing high-level administrative support to senior managers.
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and proactive — capable of managing multiple administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining a welcoming and professional office environment.
Responsibilities
Greet and direct visitors and clients; answer, screen, and route inbound phone calls.
Maintain and update office meeting room calendars and scheduling systems.
Handle general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, faxing, and mail distribution.
Coordinate with vendors, building management, and maintenance staff as needed.
Maintain office supplies and ensure kitchen and common areas remain stocked and orderly.
Support senior managers with administrative and personal assistant (PA) tasks.
Manage travel arrangements and coordinate logistics for staff and visitors.
Prepare PowerPoint presentations, reports, and meeting materials.
Record and transcribe meeting minutes as required.
Maintain records and assist with staff coordination.
Be available on-call outside office hours for occasional urgent matters.
Perform other duties as assigned to support daily office operations.
Requirements
Proven experience in office administration or executive/PA support roles.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a polished, professional demeanor.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle confidential information.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
Flexibility to occasionally assist outside normal working hours during emergencies.
