Network Engineer V

Description: Summary
ENSO is seeking two (2) Contingent Workers (CWs) to provide staff augmentation to the existing Network Engineers, Operations & Support (FTEs) supporting Lab network deployment and operations. The CW will work closely with XFN s and MSP s in the execution deployment and network migrations. An approximate split of focus will be 50% Project Management/execution and 50% technical with emphasis on switched and routed networks.
Skills
Network Operations and Deployment experience: Knowledge of IP, Transport and CDN Networks Technologies and Service Management functions.
Experience in managing complex migration projects
Technical knowledge of routers, switches, routing protocols and circuit troubleshooting
Configuring and troubleshooting routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS)
Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS) and experience with IPv4 and IPv6.
Understanding of protocols used in Data Center networks such as ZTP and EVPN-VXLAN
Time management and program management skills: experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within a constrained time schedule.
Interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team of key stakeholder management and business leaders.
Resourceful, action-orientated with the experience in getting things done and overcoming obstacles and developing creative solutions to problems.
Experience applying a broad and comprehensive understanding of multiple network functional areas and their underlying business principles
Work experience in designing, deploying, and operating large-scale networks.
Assist in maintaining additional infrastructure such as compute and storage systems, monitoring systems, and test equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Deep knowledge of various scripting languages
Experience with process improvement and systems development, leveraging automation to streamline repetitive workflows.
Nice to have: Working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning models
Experience working in a Data Center, DC architecture and issues related to data center networks.
Experience with Optical Transport Network technologies.
Proven ability to analyze complex situations, troubleshoot and root cause system issues, and solve problems efficiently.
Experience with revision control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus
