Position: Network System Engineer
Location: Fremont, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months Contract with Extension
Pay rate: $66/hr on W2 with Benefits
Job Summary:
The main function of a network engineer is to determine user requirements and design specifications for computer networks. A typical network engineer is responsible for planning and implementing network upgrades. The individual will be responsible for provisioning some data center network equipment.
Candidate Value Proposition:

There are playbooks, runbooks, wikis, and documentations to support the individual to be successful in their role, while working alongside an engineer. Role Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
• Adjust network sizes to meet volume or capacity demands
• Communicate with customers, sales staff, or marketing staff to determine customer needs
• Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs or upgrades
• Design, build, or operate equipment configuration prototypes, including network hardware, software, servers, or server operation systems
• Determine specific network hardware or software requirements such as platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, or routine schemas
• Develop and implement solutions for network problems
Performance Measurement:
Performance will be measured on execution of assigned tasks.
Must-Have Skills:
• 2 years of Network Engineering, Linux/Unix, and Python experience
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware as it relates to data storage
• Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software
Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Data center engineering knowledge
• Former Meta experience

Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field required.
