Description
As a Mental Health Therapist at Teladoc Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health care to patients through virtual consultations. Each day, you will assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans, providing both individual and family therapy as needed. Collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team, you will leverage your expertise to support patients dealing with various mental health challenges, including PTSD, anxiety, and depression, while maintaining a compassionate and confidential environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of non-supervised independent practice experience in a clinical setting assessing, diagnosing, and preparing patient treatment plans.
- Master’s degree or higher from a graduate school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
- Successful completion of training hours under the supervision of a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in a recognized clinical setting.
- Active license as a LMFT, LPC, LMHC, LICSW, or LCSW (as applicable by state for independent practice).
- Current licensure for independent clinical practice from any of the 50 U.S. states or the District of Columbia, with active maintenance of license certifications.
- Experience with empirically supported psychotherapy for PTSD, depressive, and anxiety disorders.
- Demonstrated passion for delivering high-quality mental health care.
- Ability to provide individual and family therapy.
- Strong working knowledge of psychotherapy techniques and practices.
- Excellent communication, planning, and conflict resolution skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to punctuality for patient appointments.
- Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states as required, with funding provided by the company.
Nice to Have
- Experience independently evaluating, diagnosing, and treating adult and adolescent mental health patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team to provide outpatient tele-mental health therapy services via video and phone.
- Accessibility to the Care Team for timely problem-solving and coordinated patient care.
- Experience analyzing and maintaining clinical records, reports, medical assessments, and test results.
- Skills in interviewing patients to understand their needs and develop effective response plans.
- Participation in staff meetings, training sessions, and organizational activities as directed by leadership.
- Commitment to consistently meet or exceed clinical quality and patient care standards per departmental policies.
- Capability to maintain accurate and timely completion of medical records.
- Familiarity with the full range of Teladoc Health services, including medical second opinions and virtual primary care.
- Support for the Medical Director and product team in the development of new products and services when required.
- Experience collaborating in multi-disciplinary medical-model teams.
- Adherence to patient confidentiality and compliance with health information privacy laws.
