About the Role

As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting clinical trial workflows by testing, validating, and maintaining laboratory data management systems that drive accuracy and efficiency in medical research.

Key Responsibilities

• Test and validate clinical study databases following programming standards and validation procedures.

• Coordinate and execute test plans for laboratory data systems and extraction tools.

• Review technical specifications for testability and ensure compliance with project requirements.

• Collaborate with IT and data management teams to evaluate and implement new technologies.

• Maintain reusable libraries of test data sets and ensure their integrity across testing cycles.

• Support project teams by organizing deliverables, timelines, and documentation.

• Ensure all processes align with SOPs, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and regulatory guidelines (FDA, GLP, ICH, ISO).

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Life Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 2–5 years of relevant work experience in a laboratory or data management environment.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, SAS, VGL, SSL, or C/C#.

• Understanding of laboratory data management systems and clinical trial processes.

• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk frequently during work hours.

Nice-to-Have:

• Knowledge of HL7 and other data exchange standards.

• Experience in regulated laboratory environments with FDA, GLP, ICH, and ISO compliance.

• Background in supporting software validation or data system testing for clinical applications.
