Material Handler

Start your new career as a Material Handler with MAU at our client, in Seneca, SC. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for loading and unloading materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and trailers.

What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in Powered Industrial Truck operation (sit-down and standup forklift)
- 3+ months of experience in Powered Industrial Truck operation
- Active forklift certification/license preferred
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems preferred
- Experience in a fast-paced, industrial environment using Lean manufacturing methodologies
- Solid computer skills, including inventory software, Excel, and Word
- Strong safety aptitude with great attention to detail and accuracy
- High sense of urgency, with an initiative to meet deadlines
- Exceptional sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Proficient interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work alongside and communicate effectively with various levels of the company
- Ability to perform required tasks while standing for the duration of the shift, lifting up to 35 pounds, climbing onto and off of lifts, walking long distances, being exposed to varying temperatures (non-climate-controlled environment), bending, crouching, twisting, and performing repetitive motions
What You’ll Do as a Material Handler
- Safely operate powered material handling equipment, such as sit-down forklifts, stand-up lifts, tuggers, and electric jacks
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves manually
- Enter information into SAP and other required systems accurately and efficiently.
- Support 5S and housekeeping activities
- Utilize appropriate deviation areas, hold tags, etc., to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedures.
- Adhere to FIFO standards throughout all storage areas and material flow points
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and follow box-cutting safety protocols
- Perform other related duties as assigned
