Master Electrician

As a master electrician you will manage journeymen and apprentice electricians on a day-to-day basis. You will be required to collaborate and network with general contractors, business owners and homeowners to seek new business and manage electrical projects. 

You will be responsible for serving as the contact person for all lighting and electrical related issues and requirements on specific work production and for the inventory, maintenance and storage of new and existing lighting instruments and equipment during his/her assignment. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 
  • Design electrical systems and ensure they comply with local, state and national regulations
  • Install and repair electrical systems including wiring and fixtures
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
  • Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using handtools and powertools
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues
  • Supervise junior electricians and lead teams of electricians on projects
  • Ensure that electrical work complies with safety standards and that electrical equipment is monitored for safety
  • Train electricians
  • Answer customer inquiries
  • Coordinate with other trade professionals on large construction projects
 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

 
  • Minimum of 8 years as an electrician
  • Preferred journeyman license for at least two years
  • Obtain HS Diploma
