Job Overview
The Industrial Machine Operator at Allied West Paper Corp. will set up, operate, and maintain heavy industrial machinery to ensure smooth production flow, meet performance goals, and uphold the company’s high quality standards. This role requires operating hand tools, performing equipment checks, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Duties

• Set up and operate machinery

• Start machinery and adjust settings to optimize performance

• Troubleshoot issues and perform minor maintenance

• Perform quality control checks and follow reporting/recordkeeping procedures

• Report issues to supervisor promptly

• Comply with all safety and health regulations

• Clean machinery and maintain housekeeping standards in work area

• Assist maintenance during product changeovers

• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors

Experience

• Previous machine operating experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility (required)

• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude

• Good manual dexterity and ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Ability to speak and understand English

• Team-oriented mindset with reliability and adaptability

• Willingness to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and overtime as needed

• Understanding of production and plant processes

• Strong analytical and basic math skills

• Basic mathematical skills

• Strong time management

• Problem-solving mindset

• Lift, push, pull, or maneuver up to 50 lbs repeatedly

• Bend, stoop, climb stairs/platforms, twist/turn, and reach overhead consistently

• Stand for long periods on hard surfaces in a fast-paced environment

• Tolerate heat and confined workspaces

• Perform repetitive tasks and fast, precise hand/finger movements to adjust machine controls

• Maintain pace with workload demands
