Start your new career as a Machine Operator with MAU at The Bernard Group in Duncan, SC. As a Machine Operator, you will run bindery equipment to produce high-quality commercial print materials for a fast-growing, 100% employee-owned printing company. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity. 

What We Offer: 

  • Pay of $18.50/hr + $2.50/hr night shift differential 

  • Rotating 12-hour shifts | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | 3-days-on - 4-days-off schedule 

  • Week 1: Monday – Tuesday – Wednesday 

  • Week 2: Thursday – Friday – Saturday 

  • 30-minute paid lunches and paid breaks

What We’re Looking For: 

  • High school diploma, GED, OR equivalent work experience   

  • 2–5 years of manufacturing experience 

  • 2-year technical or trade school diploma - preferred 

  • 3+ years operating bindery, cutting, folding, or booklet-making machinery - preferred 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly 

  • Strong attention to detail and quality control 

  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new technology 

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn 

  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

What You’ll Do as a Machine Operator: 

  • Operate bindery machines such as perfect binders, stitchers, folders, and cutters 

  • Run high-quality commercial print jobs from start to finish 

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain production standards 

  • Perform routine maintenance and quality checks 

  • Follow safety and company procedures consistently 

  • Assist with additional tasks or projects as assigned by management
