About the Role

Rooter Hero is seeking a highly skilled Lead Plumbing Installer to oversee residential plumbing projects across multiple phases — from underground to finish. As a leader, you’ll supervise crews, manage materials and budgets, and ensure top-quality installations that meet code and company standards. Responsibilities

• Oversee 2–4 workers on job sites, ensuring safe and efficient operations

• Run all phases of residential plumbing installation (Underground, Top Out, Finish)

• Train and mentor team members on proper techniques and safety standards

• Order materials, schedule manpower, and manage job site budgets

• Install and work with:

  • Cast Iron Waste Lines (bands & snap cutters)

  • ABS Drain Lines (cutting & gluing)

  • Copper Water Lines (measure, cut, clean, flux, solder)

  • CPVC Water Lines (measure, ream, glue)

  • Black Iron / Flex Gas Lines (layout, measurement, gas machine installation)

  • PEX Water Lines (cut pipe, use fitting expander)

• Ensure compliance with current CPC and local codes

• Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and management

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of plumbing installation experience with leadership responsibility

• CPVC and PEX certification required

• Strong knowledge of residential plumbing and CPC codes

• Ability to independently run one or more jobs simultaneously

• Skilled in training and supervising crew members

• Experience in ordering material, scheduling manpower, and labor budget oversight

• Must own basic plumbing tools and battery-operated tools

• Ability to lift and carry 80+ lbs

• Must be available for full shifts and overtime

• Knowledge of local installation codes preferred
