Job Title: Laboratory Inventory Specialist
Location: 1211 Sherwood Avenue, Richmond, VA
Contract Duration: 6 months (3/1/2025 – 9/30/2025)
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Payrate $ 31.46/HR on W2 with basic benefits.

This position requires adherence to established policies, processes, and safety protocols, ensuring efficient chemical inventory management and supporting laboratory operations.

Position Overview:
The Associate Scientific Services Specialist will play a critical role in managing reference standards within a laboratory setting. This position requires adherence to established policies, processes, and safety protocols, ensuring efficient chemical inventory management and supporting laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process reference standards in and out of LabWare (LIMS) in compliance with customer policies and procedures.
- Receive and log reference standards into the inventory system (LIMS).
- Deliver requested standards to designated laboratory locations.
- Register purchased standards in the customer's registry system following established protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the reference standards area.
- Proactively identify and report safety concerns while following all safety guidelines.
- Verify and manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in conjunction with chemical inventories.
- Complete all required training within specified timelines.
- Provide support for the Chemical Management area, including inventory maintenance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, preferably chemistry.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with reference standards.
- Familiarity with inventory management processes.
- Basic understanding of chemistry concepts.
Technology Skills:
- Experience with LabWare (LIMS) is highly advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established methodologies.
