### **Job Description** **Junior Grower** **Grow Manager** **Exempt /Salary** **Full-Time** **Job Title:** **Supervisor:** **Classifications:** **Summary** **Assist the grower in monitoring crops, irrigation and climate strategies and help out with** **the labor where needed. Report all irregularities to the grower.** **Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:** **• Monitor and report pest pressure in the greenhouses to the grower.** **• Monitor for disease plants and quality standards for crop work** **• Monitor “specialty jobs” such as planting, pest & disease work and maintenance problems** **that could adversely impact production.** **• Irrigation of crop, monitoring and calibrating all grow scales, over drain trays, EC and pH** **sensors.** **• Monitor that the proper settings are implemented according to discussions with the** **grower.** **• Ensure that the monitoring of the drain, dripper measurements, pathway bottles, back** **washing of the sand filters, cleaning of the disc filters and pressure of the irrigation system** **is taken care off, according to specifications of the grower.** **• Sampling of fertilization to be done on a consistent base.** **• To keep track of plant growth** **• Monitor all irrigation of crop** **• To insure that CO2 is monitored for correct dosage.** **• Record daily irrigation, drain, EC and pH on the growers data board** **• Record plant measurements** **• Weekly operation report, given by the grower.** **• For this position you will need to complete modules: Introduction Horticulture, Water-** **Introduction , Irrigation and Fertilization, which includes successfully passing them** **within the first 6 months. Then will continue to complete Priva Modules as assigned** **every 6 months after Then will continue to complete Priva Modules as assigned every 6** **months after** **• Perform other duties as assigned** **Competencies:** **To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential** **duty satisfactorily.
