In a Nutshell // 

The IT Systems Administrator will manage and support Symphonic’s internal IT infrastructure, including endpoints, SaaS platforms, WordPress sites, and overall security protocols. This role will oversee device provisioning and lifecycle management via Hexnode MDM, administer user access through Azure Active Directory, and ensure endpoint protection and compliance with software patching standards. The position will also involve managing Google Workspace, implementing and maintaining email authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and enforcing zero-trust security through Cloudflare Access. Additional responsibilities include maintaining WordPress sites, managing DNS and web performance/security settings, and leading phishing awareness initiatives. The role will be primarily remote, but may occasionally require reporting to the Tampa, FL headquarters for on-site support and equipment configuration.

What you will do //

• Provision, manage, and secure laptops using Hexnode MDM
• Handle onboarding/offboarding and access policies via Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra)
• Maintain device compliance, software patching, and endpoint protection
• Administer Google Workspace and enforce access/security policies
• Manage email authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
• Enforce zero trust access via Cloudflare Access, maintaining secure authentication flows
• Maintain, patch, and troubleshoot WordPress websites
• Manage Cloudflare DNS, bot protection, and performance/security rules
• Run phishing training campaigns and monitor employee engagement
• Document and respond to IT security events
• Recommend improvements to endpoint, email, and network security practices
• Provide remote and in-person technical support to staff
• Track and manage IT inventory and procurement
• Maintain clear documentation of systems, policies, and user guides

What you need to have //

• 1 to 3 years in IT, systems administration, or support roles.
• Strong security awareness and ability to implement security best practices across SaaS and endpoints.
• Highly organized with strong documentation skills and ability to work independently.

What will set you apart //

• 3+ years experience in all or some some of the following areas:
  • Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra for identity and policy management
  • Google Workspace administration and SaaS access control
  • Device lifecycle management using Hexnode MDM or similar tools
  • Cloudflare services, including DNS management, bot protection, and zero trust access
  • WordPress site upkeep, including plugin updates, performance, and security
  • Email authentication standards such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configuration and validation
• Experience with phishing training platforms (KnowBe4, etc.).
• Scripting or automation skills for repeatable IT tasks.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
