đ The Opportunity
Flexportâs Global Operations team is on the front line, managing our customersâ supply chains end-to-end. As a Global Operations Associate, you will play a critical role in executing the movement of shipments within the North America (NAM) region. Youâll coordinate daily ocean and logistics activities, ensure seamless operations, and obsess over on-time performance and quality. This role works closely with teammates, supervisors, and cross-functional partners to solve problems, improve processes, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
đ What Youâll Do
Be accountable for achieving the highest Flexport quality standards: ensuring shipments move on time and exceptions are handled appropriately.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and ensure compliance with KPIs and SLAs.
Solve client issues rapidly, ensuring smooth operations from origin to destination and escalating issues where needed.
Collaborate with internal and external partners â including air carriers, cartage, customs, and warehousing â to keep freight moving.
Support a data-driven approach to improving supply chain performance and planning.
đ§© What Youâll Bring
Bachelorâs degree required
Minimum 1+ years of global forwarding experience
Growth mindset with an eye for process improvements and openness to change
A compliance-first mindset, operating within a heavily regulated industry
Preferred: 1â2 years of experience in ocean freight, import compliance, dangerous goods, or warehousing
Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Exceptional teamwork and communication skills
Proficiency with MS Office or Google Workspace
