Overview

As a key member of one of Canada’s leading security companies, the Security Professional plays an essential role in maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment for clients and the public. This position requires strong communication skills, sound decision-making, and the ability to follow established safety and emergency protocols.

Successful candidates will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas, monitoring for safety hazards, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service in all interactions. Responsibilities

• Apply strong communication and decision-making skills to all duties related to site safety and security.
• Ensure Site Safety and Emergency Procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other emergencies.
• Follow all site-specific Post Orders.
• Undertake and complete site-specific training.
• Follow direction from Supervisors and support on-site operations.
• Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at access points, including vehicle and bag searches when required.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot to ensure the safety of personnel, buildings, and equipment.
• Monitor the environment for safety hazards and infractions.
• Watch for and report irregularities, including breaches, hazards, and emergency situations.
• Offer assistance to individuals in need.
• Contact emergency responders such as police, fire, or ambulance personnel when required.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of all information.
• Respond to inquiries professionally and appropriately.
• Utilize two-way radios and computer applications effectively.
• Be willing to take courses as required by Paladin Security or the client.

Requirements

• Class 5 driver’s license
• Manitoba Security License
• Ability to work 8 hours
• Ability to provide a clean criminal record check
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
