Schedule: Continental Days (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $18.73/hour
Averaging Agreement: Overtime calculated after 88 hours (AA)

Paladin Security is seeking a Full Time Patrol Guard to join our healthcare security team at Scarborough General Hospital. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits
• Monitor and operate security cameras and alarm systems; report suspicious activity immediately
• Control access points and ensure only authorized individuals enter restricted areas
• Respond quickly and professionally to emergencies such as medical situations, fire alarms, or security threats
• Greet and assist visitors, patients, and hospital staff
• De-escalate conflicts and manage tense situations calmly and professionally
• Accurately document daily activities, incidents, and accidents
• Collaborate with hospital staff and local law enforcement to maintain site safety
• Enforce hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols

Requirements

Must Have:

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB-approved provider
• COVID-19 vaccination (two doses)
• Proof of up-to-date immunization records for:
• Mumps
• Measles
• Rubella
• Varicella
• Two-step Tuberculosis skin test
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
• Knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Criminal Code 494
