Shift: Hybrid: 3 days in office per week
Pay Rate: $27/hr
Contract Length: 12 Months

Role Summary:
The Fixed Income Product Control Analyst is responsible for producing and validating the daily Profit and Loss (P&L) for various trading strategies within the Fixed Income business. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with trading, finance, and risk teams. The analyst ensures the accuracy of reported financial results by reconciling the Business Unit's estimated P&L against the firm's sub-ledger P&L, investigating variances, and providing timely and accurate reporting to management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, review, and analyze daily P&L reports for Fixed Income trading desks.
  • Reconcile Business Unit P&L estimates to the firm's sub-ledger and investigate any discrepancies or variances.
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Risk Management, and Finance teams to resolve daily breaks and ensure data accuracy.
  • Develop a sound understanding of fixed income products and strategies used by the business (e.g., bonds, derivatives, swaps).
  • Assist in ensuring data integrity and accuracy of financial and risk systems across multiple platforms.
  • Perform trend analysis and commentary on daily and monthly P&L results.
  • Support the month-end close process, including accruals, adjustments, and journal entries as needed.
  • Utilize Excel and other analytical tools to automate and improve reporting processes.
  • Escalate material issues or discrepancies to senior management and ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in P&L reporting.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Associate's degree with 1–2 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, OR
  • Bachelor's Degree with a demonstrated interest in Finance or Accounting.
