Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications, with strong Excel and estimation software skills. Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical components and systems, such as control panels, wiring, and lighting. Communication & Collaboration: Effective written and verbal skills for working with engineers, clients, and trades. Detail-Oriented & Organized: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Physical Ability: Able to lift and move up to 25 lbs as required. Responsibilities: Project Analysis & Estimation: Review blueprints and technical documents to determine scope, materials, labor, and costs, and develop detailed estimates accordingly. Material Sourcing & Vendor Negotiation: Identify suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure cost-effectiveness for materials, labor, and equipment. Compliance & Bid Preparation: Ensure estimates comply with safety standards and legislation; prepare and submit competitive bids. Financial Management: Create cost plans, manage budgets, and monitor financial aspects of the project. Communication & Collaboration: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and trades; attend bid review meetings. Database & Risk Management: Update cost databases regularly and assess project risks to include in estimates.
