Elevated Roots is looking for a hands-on, people-focused Assistant General Manager to support daily store operations, lead the sales team, and ensure a consistent, compliant, and exceptional guest experience. The AGM is the #2 leader in the store and acts as the Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is off-site.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment, loves developing teams, and is confident balancing sales floor leadership with operational and compliance responsibilities.

What You’ll Do:

Lead & Develop Teams

  • Coach, mentor, and support Sales Leads and Associates.
  • Run daily team huddles and communicate priorities.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training.
  • Act as Store Manager when needed.

    Deliver an Elevated Guest Experience
  • Support escalated guest interactions, ID issues, and complex returns.
  • Ensure consistent service, product knowledge, and compliance on the sales floor.
  • Uphold Elevated Roots’ brand pillars and store culture.

    Support Operations & Compliance
  • Verify deliveries, invoices, and compliance documents.
  • Upload manifests and required paperwork to state portals.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure audit-ready compliance.
  • Support METRC accuracy (view/verify level).
  • Assist with merchandising, menu updates, labeling, and vendor activations.

    Store Operations
  • Open/close the store, complete checklists, and oversee tills and deposits.
  • Monitor register accuracy and cash-handling procedures.
  • Ensure proper staffing and manage coverage during call-outs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant store environment.
Required skills:
  • 2+ years of cannabis or high-volume retail leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of CCC regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Experience with POS systems, METRC (view/verify), and basic computer tools.
  • Reliable, professional, and highly organized.
  • Must be 21+ and pass required background checks and CCC training.
