Director of Human Resources Role:
As the senior Human Resources leader in the organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive talent strategy that fosters growth, reinforces the company culture, and enhances business performance. This role requires a blend of strategic direction and hands-on execution.
You will collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team to align HR initiatives with overarching business objectives, in addition to overseeing day-to-day HR functions. The key responsibilities include creating and executing recruitment strategies to attract top-tier talent in a competitive market, fostering a people-centric culture focused on engagement and success, and designing compensation and benefits packages that strike a balance between market competitiveness and startup resources.
You will establish scalable processes that support internal mobility, performance management, and overall growth, directly impacting company culture, collaboration, and communication. Additionally, you will implement core HR systems, ensure compliance with employment laws, and serve as a trusted advisor for both employees and managers.
This role is ideal for a strategic HR executive who is eager to lay the groundwork for a first-rate HR function.
Director of Human Resources Background Profile:
- Seeking a dynamic HR leader with a sharp mindset, capable of thriving in dynamic environments, balancing strategic and operational priorities, and dedicated to creating an empowering workplace environment.
- Minimum of 10 years in progressive HR roles, with at least 5 years in a strategic leadership position
- Experience in scaling teams within startup or high-growth settings
- Strong expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational design, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)
- Proficiency in developing systems and programs that align with company growth
- Ability to lead through influence, communicate effectively, and instill confidence at all levels
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or relevant field; advanced degree preferred
- Comfortable with data-driven decision-making and utilizing HR tech tools for efficiency
- Coaching-oriented mindset to empower and support others with accountability
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. employment law and compliance best practices
- High emotional intelligence, strong business acumen, and genuine concern for people and performance
