**The Role**
Does everything you touch turn green? If so, our client is looking for you! As a **Cultivation Technician**, you will provide expert care and maintenance to grow healthy, strong cannabis plants while overseeing all aspects of plant growth.
Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, positive, and finds joy in spending the workday potting, pruning, and tending to plants with the utmost care and precision. Cannabis is a highly regulated industry; therefore, all employees must follow safety and compliance regulations at all times.

### **Essential Functions**
**Plant Life**
* Topping plants
* Bottoming plants
* Transplanting & defoliating
* Tending to various grow media
* Scouting for disease or potential insect issues
* Training plants
* Adhering to the national grow model and standards
**Harvest** _(smaller sites)_
* Prepare rooms for harvest
* Harvest/take down plants
* Defoliate and break plants into smaller pieces
* Hang plants on dry racks
* Clean both dry and flower rooms between harvests
**Sanitation**
* Sweeping, mopping, and other cleaning duties as required
* Cleaning plant housing devices, tables, and pots
* Reporting any maintenance issues to management for timely resolution

### **Safety & Compliance**
* Maintain awareness of hazards in the workspace
* Complete and retain department-specific training
* Report safety incidents/concerns and follow required corrective actions
* Adhere to all safety requirements, state regulations, and PPE policies
* Follow GMP, biosecurity, sanitation, and other compliance standards
* Accurately and completely perform record-keeping as directed
* Maintain and calibrate tools, equipment, and machinery as needed
* Escalate safety and quality concerns promptly

### **Working Conditions**
* Regularly perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions
* Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods while maintaining focus
* Lift, carry, and balance up to 50 lbs with extreme care, especially when handling product
* Work in environments with temperatures of 85+ degrees and 70% humidity for extended periods
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
* Willingness to work at heights of 6–8 ft using catwalks, ladders, and scaffolds
* Daily exposure to allergens such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil

### **Qualifications**
* High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or relevant certifications preferred
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment

### **Additional Requirements**
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Must possess a valid state-issued ID
* Must be able to obtain and maintain state badging requirements for work in the cannabis industry (includes background check and state review)
