**About the Role:** We are seeking a detail-oriented **Cannabis Cultivation Technician** with a strong focus on plant health and defoliation techniques. This role is essential for maintaining plant structure, optimizing light penetration, and ensuring maximum yield quality. The ideal candidate is hands-on, knowledgeable about cannabis cultivation practices, and passionate about producing top-quality flower. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform **defoliation** on cannabis plants to remove excess fan leaves and improve light penetration and airflow. - Monitor plant health, identifying signs of nutrient deficiencies, pests, or disease, and take corrective action as needed. - Assist with propagation, transplanting, and overall plant care in both vegetative and flowering stages. - Maintain detailed records of plant growth, defoliation schedules, and cultivation practices. - Ensure compliance with all state and local cannabis regulations, including safety and sanitation protocols. - Collaborate with the cultivation team to optimize growth strategies and maximize yield. - Operate cultivation equipment safely and efficiently. - Support harvest, trimming, and other post-production activities as needed. **Qualifications:** - Previous experience in cannabis cultivation preferred, with a focus on flowering plants. - Strong knowledge of plant anatomy, growth cycles, and defoliation techniques. - Detail-oriented, with the ability to follow precise cultivation protocols. - Physically capable of standing, bending, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods. - Comfortable working in a regulated cannabis facility and adhering to safety guidelines. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - Passion for the cannabis industry and commitment to producing high-quality product. **_About Vangst:_** _Vangst is the cannabis industry's hiring platform.
