Controller Role:
- Oversee all facets of accounting and financial operations while spearheading strategic initiatives to drive organizational growth and efficiency
- Engage in strategic and cross-functional finance endeavors
- Collaborate with senior leadership to craft, execute, and oversee financial operations and systems
- Serve as a liaison across departments for effective communication and implementation of new finance initiatives
- Manage special projects and organizational efforts, balancing risks, timelines, and deliverables
- Analyze crucial operational and financial metrics to facilitate strategic decision-making
- Deliver monthly reporting packages and identify areas for enhancement to boost performance
Controller Background Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA designation highly preferred
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, showcasing increasing responsibilities
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, with a proven track record of team management and performance enhancement
- Thorough understanding of IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 standards, with practical application experience
- Demonstrated expertise in overseeing M&A transactions, including pre- and post-acquisition balance sheet readiness, net working capital analysis, and earnout structuring
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions for complex modeling and formula utilization
- Sound financial acumen with the ability to interpret P&L statements and balance sheets to drive strategic decisions
- Skilled in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), encompassing forecasting, budgeting, and executive-level reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex financial insights to diverse audiences
- Highly organized, deadline-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and accountable with a strong sense of initiative
- Prior experience with NetSuite is advantageous
- Familiarity with tools like Procurify, Concur, and FP&A platforms is a plus
