📍 Location: Flexible / Remote within Canada
About the Role
Securian Canada is looking for a detail-oriented Compliance Associate to support our compliance team in ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies. This position reports to the Compliance Manager and plays a key role in policy development, regulatory reporting, training, and audit support. You’ll be a trusted resource for compliance questions and an important communicator of evolving requirements and best practices.
What You’ll Do
Research and analyze insurance-related legislation and regulations.
Create, update, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and documentation.
Educate business units on compliance requirements and prepare reports.
Support compliance training programs.
Coordinate audits, reviews, and examinations.
Manage compliance and privacy inboxes and documentation.
Track projects tied to new regulatory requirements.
Administer compliance attestations and monitor quarterly regulatory updates.
Assist with PCI compliance, customer complaints, and privacy incident analysis.
Review and approve agent license applications.
What You’ll Bring
Post-secondary education or relevant experience.
Background in compliance and/or financial services.
Strong knowledge of corporate and legislative compliance management.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and multitask.
Strong MS Office skills; familiarity with Ethidex or Resolver is an asset.
AML coursework and bilingualism considered strong assets.
