Clinical Pharmacist (PRN)

Overview
The Clinical Pharmacist ensures injured workers receive appropriate, evidence-based medication therapy through timely clinical interventions. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional clinical teams to evaluate treatment plans, identify risks, and recommend optimal medication strategies.

Training Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Post Training: Flexible in hours | 10-20 hrs per week

Key Responsibilities

• Assess prescription appropriateness by reviewing medical history, drug interactions, contraindications, and potential adverse effects; recommend adjustments as needed.

• Utilize data analytics to identify medication usage trends, safety concerns, and opportunities for cost savings.

• Review medication requests from providers to determine approval for dispensing based on clinical guidelines.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to educate them on appropriate medication use, including guidelines, drug interactions, and best practices.

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical pharmacy experience
  ( Candidates with several years of experience are strongly encouraged to apply)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams.

• Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to evaluate clinical data and make informed medication decisions.

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.

• Current, active pharmacy (RPh) license in good standing.

Certifications & Licenses

• Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license.

Languages

• English Read, Write, Speak.
