Wage: $17.95–$21.48 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role

Join a team committed to protecting patients, staff, and visitors across three hospital sites in Smiths Falls, Perth, and Brockville. As a Casual Health Care Security Guard, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and professional hospital environment by performing a variety of security functions including patrols, access control, and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible security presence in assigned hospital facilities

• Perform routine patrols and inspections

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies professionally and safely

• Work with hospital staff to de-escalate situations and ensure safety for all parties

• Complete documentation and incident reports as needed

• Support the enforcement of hospital policies, including COVID-19 and mask requirements

• Travel to assigned sites as needed

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License

• Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (from WSIB-approved provider)

• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (proof required)

• Full MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunization

• Immunization records for Varicella, Pertussis, TB (Step 1 & 2)

• Eligible to work in Canada

• Willing and able to clear a respirator N95 mask fit test

• Valid Full G Class Driver’s License with reliable vehicle

• Able to travel to Kingston for pre-deployment training

• Flexible to work at all three locations (Smiths Falls, Perth, Brockville/Lanark County Mental Health)

• Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills

• Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and MOAB

• If not certified, willing to attend Paladin’s complimentary 4-day training (with 6-month commitment)

• Available to commit for at least 6 months
