Our bus drivers are an important part of that mission, ensuring every child’s day starts and ends with a friendly face and a safe ride.

About the Role

As a Bus Driver at Peachtree Play & Learn, you’ll be responsible for transporting children safely to and from our centers, schools, and local events. You’ll represent the heart of our community each morning and afternoon — greeting children with warmth, maintaining clear communication with families, and always prioritizing safety above all else.

Responsibilities

1. Safely operate a center bus or van to transport children to and from school, home, and Peachtree Play & Learn centers.
2. Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain cleanliness and organization of the bus.
3. Ensure each child is properly secured in their seat and follows safety rules during transit.
4. Follow all traffic laws and state childcare transportation regulations.
5. Keep accurate attendance and route logs.
6. Communicate clearly and respectfully with parents, teachers, and center leadership.
7. Support smooth transitions during drop-off and pick-up times.
8. Report any incidents, delays, or maintenance needs immediately to the Center Director.

Qualifications

1. Must be at least 21 years old.
2. Valid Georgia driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
3. Prior experience driving children or working in a childcare, school, or transportation role preferred.
4. Must pass a criminal background check, driving record check, and drug screening.
5. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
6. Dependable, professional, and calm under pressure.
7. Ability to assist young children in and out of the vehicle safely.
