**Position Summary: ** We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented **Bucker/Trimmer** to join our cannabis cultivation team. This role plays a vital part in preserving the quality and visual appeal of our harvested cannabis plants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing freshly harvested plants, trimming excess foliage, and preparing the product for further stages of production. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment. * * * ** Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** **Bucking:** * Carefully remove cannabis buds from harvested plants by cutting away branches, ensuring the integrity of each bud is maintained. **Trimming:** * Trim excess leaves from cannabis buds to produce a clean, high-quality product with minimal damage. **Quality Control:** * Inspect buds for defects, mold, or other quality concerns. * Report any issues to the Team Lead and/or Cultivation Manager promptly. **Work Efficiency:** * Meet or exceed daily production goals while upholding product quality and attention to detail. **Cleanliness:** * Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards. **Team Collaboration:** * Work closely with fellow cultivation team members to ensure smooth operations and timely task completion. **Safety Compliance:** * Follow all safety protocols, including proper tool handling and material use, to prevent accidents and ensure a safe workplace. * * * **Qualifications:** * Previous experience in cannabis cultivation, trimming, or a related field is preferred but not required. * Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently and accurately. * Basic understanding of cannabis plant anatomy and quality standards is a plus. * Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. * Able to sit or stand for extended periods and perform manual labor. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to follow directions and work independently with minimal supervision. * Familiarity with safety procedures in agricultural or production settings is preferred. * * * **Physical Requirements: ** * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. * Must be able to stand for long durations. * Manual dexterity required for trimming and bucking tasks. * Must be able to bend, kneel, or crouch as needed. **About Vangst:** Vangst is the cannabis industry’s hiring platform.
